Interracial Marriage in 18th Century Britain

OK it has been ages since I blogged, 2009 to be exact.  I was going to begin a whole new blog but decided to keep it but start from where I am at now.  I am doing a PhD in theology but which encompasses history, sociology, gender studies and the list goes on.  Specifically I am looking at Black pentecostal women in the British church this will be my focus but there will be so many other areas and things of interest in my purview.  I am finding out new things every time I read and this blog will function as a place to put things I have found interesting.  Sometimes with comment, sometimes not. Please feel free to comment if you feel the need.  Blessings and I look forward to discussions.

So I have to do literature surveys and the stuff you come across.....

document

This is the manifest for Belisarius, a ship that set sail for Sierra Leone in 1787.  The transcript below shows a transcript of the manifest. Whilst for hundreds of years interracial marriages in the US were illegal (as recently 1967 in Virginia) the manifest shows that black women were married to white men and black men were married in Britain from at least the 1800's. The relationship of British Blacks to British Whites are different to that of our American cousins.

Unfortunately the story does not end well of the 350 people who sailed only 60 survived.  Some dieing during the voyage, others at the hand of slave traders, native people, the climate or disease.

The Names of Men Women & Children who are now on board the Belisarius
Capt[ai]n Sill lying at the Motherbank 16 Feb[ruar]y 1787.

Everyone knows that particular important trick to maintain your unwanted pounds out of one's door is to do exercising regularly. Diet by itself can't cause you to lose pure fat as fast when you may desire, that's why it's always recommended to exercise daily to help you build and maintain muscles phen375 i challenge everyone here who is a first time jumper, to jump for a minimum of 30 seconds without stopping. Most importantly, she has to reopen her heart, mind, body and spirit. It may please take a month or longer, but you are able to lose 5 lbs http://www.phen375factsheet.com choose foods that will cause you to feel full so that you just're not craving a snack shortly after consuming. As it really is a saturated fat, you'd probably assume that coconut oil is not good for your heart phen375 the configuration with the blade determines the amount water will probably be displaced with every paddle stroke.

Hello would you mind sharing which blog platform you're using? I'm planning to start my own blog in the near future but I'm having a tough time selecting between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your design and style seems different then most blogs and I'm
looking for something unique. P.S Apologies
for being off-topic but I had to ask!
